The Kids Ministry Director is a critical part of our leadership team that champions the disciple-making formation of children, parents, and families. This role sets the vision and implementation of our framework for the department, recruiting and training valuable leaders to execute strategic ministry goals, shaping and developing an existing kids ministry staff, and providing strong leadership in forming ministry environments as we partner with families to disciple their children.
We are looking for someone who recognizes, in humility, that they are still growing as a disciple of Jesus Christ. The successful candidate will be committed to their own intentional discipleship and willing to model disciple-making for others. • A heart for team-building through recruiting and developing paid and lay leaders
• A love for collaboration with other leaders and fearlessness in casting vision
• A strong knowledge of childhood development, family dynamics, and current ministry strategies
• An agreement of VCBC Affirmations of Faith and Closely-Held Beliefs
• 3-5 years ministry experience; Bachelor’s degree required and Masters preferred
